Patanjali Ayurveda claims that spices like turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper can strengthen the body's immunity and help protect against many serious diseases.

Baba Ramdev's book "The Science of Ayurveda" explains that when used correctly, these spices can help detoxify the body, improve digestion, balance hormones, and even reduce mental health problems. This is why people are increasingly turning to these common kitchen spices as natural remedies.

black pepper

Black pepper is considered highly effective for coughs and colds. If someone is coughing, chewing 2-3 black peppercorns can provide relief. This not only helps reduce coughs but also improves sleep quality. 

For conditions like hives, it is recommended to take black pepper powder mixed with warm ghee, which can provide relief from allergies and itching. 

Additionally, taking a mixture of black pepper, almonds, and sugar candy with milk or water can also provide relief from coughs.

Cardamom

Cardamom has been shown to be beneficial for mouth ulcers and urinary problems. If you have mouth ulcers, consuming cardamom powder mixed with honey can reduce internal inflammation and promote gradual healing. 

In case of decreased urination or burning sensation, taking cardamom powder with sugar candy can provide relief. It also cools the body and improves digestion.

cinnamon

Cinnamon is considered a powerful antiseptic and detoxifying spice. Consuming it improves digestion and helps eliminate toxins from the body. 

A decoction made by mixing cinnamon, ginger, and cloves is considered beneficial for relieving colds and coughs. This decoction warms the body, increases energy, and helps balance the Vata and Kapha doshas according to Ayurveda.

Cloves

Cloves are used to relieve pain. For migraines or severe headaches, applying clove powder mixed with water to the forehead can alleviate the pain. 

Chewing 2-3 cloves is also beneficial for coughs. Applying clove oil or clove powder to a toothache can provide immediate relief due to its pain-relieving properties.

Cumin

Cumin is considered extremely beneficial for the digestive system. 

If someone is suffering from diarrhea, drinking cumin powder mixed with yogurt or lassi can provide relief. Additionally, boiling 5-7 grams of cumin in 400 ml of water and consuming it after the water is reduced by half provides relief from many intestinal problems. Regular consumption strengthens digestion.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek seeds are considered very beneficial for diabetes patients. Soaking them in water overnight and consuming them with water on an empty stomach in the morning helps control blood sugar. 

Additionally, regularly consuming a mixture of equal amounts of fenugreek seeds, dried ginger, and turmeric can help balance certain Ayurvedic doshas in the body.
